Airports Council Worldwide (ACI) World, which collects airport site visitors information annually by way of its world community of airport operator members, traders, and aviation stakeholders, has printed its newest World Airport Visitors Dataset, confirming that worldwide site visitors is bouncing again post-COVID.
Key findings from the report:
World complete passenger site visitors for 2022 surpassed 6,6 billion, representing a rise of 43,8% from 2021 or a 72,5% restoration of pre-pandemic ranges.
The highest 20 airports for world passenger site visitors, 10 of that are in the USA, characterize 18% of worldwide site visitors with 1,2 billion passengers.
The most important bounce within the top-20 rankings has been recorded for Heathrow Airport, which moved from 54th to eighth place.
